“Remember My Name”
Written by Cody Beebe

I’m sitting here, looking up at the clock on the wall And I’m wondering now if time really matters at all. Because the seconds, they come and they go so fast And a new one is here before you’re used to the last. Chorus Will you remember my name? Will you remember my face? And lives are gone in the blink of an eye So what’s gunna make them remember a simple name like mine? And across the world, a few footsteps here or there The only marks I’ve left to prove that I was even here. Chorus Will you remember my name? Will you remember my face? And there’s gotta be some hope out there in the distance As the sun sets in that amber sky. And I’m reaching now for help from up above To show me how or why…. Chorus Will you remember my name? Will you remember my face? So I take the clock on down, put it underneath my bed Trying hard to remember all the horrible things that I’ve said. And I’m finally figuring out just why I’m here ‘Cause the marks you wanna leave they ain’t written nowhere. So I get on the phone and call up some old friends of mine And we sit around the campfire and talk about old times. And where we are in our lives now and where we used to be And just how different their lives would be if it weren’t for me. Chorus Well they’ll remember my name. They’ll remember my face. My name, my face, my name, well they’ll remember my name.
